WHO WE ARE

SoCal Bike Advocates (SCBA) is a full service resource for the local and visiting cyclist, run by local rider and attorney, Joshua Bonnici. Joshua is a life-long San Diegan who is passionate about giving back to San Diego’s cycling community, as well as protecting riders from motorists and losing valuable bike paths and trails.

Whether you are a beginner getting used to drop bars, or an experienced racer training for the Kona Ironman, we want to be your go-to outlet for all things cycling, including:

  • Updates on bicycle laws
  • Updates on bike lanes and bike-friendly streets
  • Legal advice regarding vehicle v. bicycle collisions
  • Medical aid for rehabilitation from injuries or breaking through fitness plateaus
  • Linking like-minded riders together
  • Providing bicycles and helmets to at-risk children
  • Much, much more!

“While Joshua Bonnici is a great rider and friend, he is also second to none in helping his local cycling community as an advocate and a voice. I know that if I’m ever injured during one of my many training sessions in San Diego, he would stop at nothing to make sure that I was given the attention I needed to get back on the bike and continue my passion for riding.”
— Tim Stutzer, 4x Kona Ironman Competitor

JOSHUA AND HIS BIKES!

Joshua Bonnici is a life-long San Diegan who grew up on two wheels. Josh had his first full-suspension mountain bike before he could drive and rode all over San Diego with his father and friends.

Now, Josh can be found riding trails such as Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve, Mission Trails, Florida Canyon and many others, as well as riding his road bike all over the county – with favorites including Torrey Pines Reserve, Shelter Island, and Fiesta Island. By day, Josh is an attorney who represents local San Diegans who are injured or disabled and need a voice against the insurance companies.
